Freedom Of Movement I
Public art installation Freedom of Movement, The large poster installing as protest, explores the ‘right to travel as a human rights concept, encompassing the right of individuals to travel from place to place within the territory of a country, and to leave the country and return to it’. The document is autobiographical and recognisable. The bird is spotlighted as a symbol for freedom, as well as referencing landscapes that know no borders.
The installation will remain on the National Cycle Network 77 by Dundee’s Riverside for three months. Tajik has also created a corresponding installation in Glasgow by the Riverside Museum on the National Cycle Network 7.
